GOVERNOR PROMISES TO FIGHT IF HUMANE SOCIETY GOES AFTER AGRICULTURE

(Kearney Hub) -- KearneyHub.com recently reported that "Gov. Dave Heineman and state Sen. Tom Carlson of Holdrege recently warned that the Humane Society of the United States may be taking the first steps toward legislation or a ballot initiative related to animal agriculture." At the recent Nebraska Cattlemen convention in Kearney," the governor described HSUS as anti-agriculture and out to destroy animal agriculture." The governor added that if HSUS attacks Nebraska agriculture, "they’re gonna see a fight like they’ve never seen.
