The Tax Foundation's Tax Policy Blog has posted a map showing the top statutory marginal income tax rate in each state for tax year 2011. Nebraska's personal income tax system, which consists of four separate brackets, has a top rate of 6.84% that kicks in at an income level of $27,000. Among states levying an individual income tax, Nebraska's top rate ranks 18th highest, nationally.
